Rajya Sabha poll: Jairam Ramesh, Oscar Fernandes file nomination papers

Oscar Fernandes said that he was confident getting elected to Rajya Sabha and thanked Congress for the nomination.

Congress candidates Jairam Ramesh and Oscar Fernandes on Monday filed nomination papers for the upcoming Rajya Sabha election that is scheduled to be held on June 11.

The third candidate supported by Congress, KC Ramamurthy, a retired police officer and educationist, is expected to file nomination papers on Tuesday.

Thanking Congress high command for nominating him to Rajya Sabha, Oscar Fernandes said that he was confident getting elected to Rajya Sabha without any hassles.
