India Rankings 2016 - NIRF: Top 10 Pharmaceutical Institutions

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a first of its kind, which is a indigenous ranking framework for higher education institutions in the country.


Union HRD Minister, Smriti Irani has released the 'Indian Rankings 2016'. India Rankings 2016 is the country's first exercise to rank the higher educational institutions in the country based on objective, identifiable parameters.

The ranking are provided to these institutions after a detailed analysis and validation of the date submitted by more than 3,600 higher educational institutions in the country classified in 6 categories.

 
These rankings are based on the assessment using the following parameters:

  • Teaching,
  • Learning & Resources Research,
  • Professional Practice & Collaborative
  • Performance
  • Graduation
  • Outcomes
  • Outreach
  • Perception

Best Global Universities Rankings 2016: Top 14 Indian Universities


The US News Education World Report published the list of the Best Global University Rankings 2016. 

This report from the US News identified about 14 Indian universities/colleges in the top list. 

This features IISc and many IITs, surprisingly the Aligarh Muslim University is ranked higher to that of the Delhi University. 

Also universities like the Banaras Hindu University and Jadavpur universities have also made it the list alongside the elite institutions.
