The
National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a first of its kind, which
is a indigenous ranking framework for higher education institutions in the
country. Union HRD Minister, Smriti Irani has released the 'Indian Rankings
2016'.
The ranking are provided to these institutions after a detailed
analysis and validation of the date submitted by more than 3,600 higher
educational institutions in the country classified in 6 categories.
These rankings are based on the assessment using the following parameters:
